Our story

From contracting to championing aggregates.

Heavy Equipment Rental N.V. was established in 1994 by the late Mr. Tjandronath G. Gajadin as a service provider for the mining industry. After a successful contracting career in aluminum mining, he expanded the company into aggregate mining as a privately owned operation.

Today HER operates from a quarry 50 kilometers from the city center and 5 kilometers from the Suriname River — the source of every aggregate product we deliver across the country and the wider Caribbean.
